Lesson 2
All Bodies are Good Bodies
Using correct anatomical names for all body parts, this session normalizes the full range of human bodies. Students learn the proper names for genitals and understand that all bodies, including intersex bodies, are normal and worthy of respect.

Key Ideas

  • Every body part has a real name and using the correct name is healthy and important.
  • The vulva is the outside part between the legs, not the vagina (which is on the inside).
  • All body parts, including genitals, serve important purposes.
  • Some people are born intersex, meaning their bodies do not fit neatly into male or female categories, and this is a normal variation.
  • Nobody's body is wrong or broken.
