This curriculum was loosely inspired by The Every Body Book by Rachel E. Simon, a wonderful, inclusive introduction to bodies, puberty, and identity written for kids. If you have not read it yet, it is a great place to start and comes highly recommended for both kids and the adults in their lives.

Below are some other books we love for continuing these conversations at home:
Sex Is a Funny Word: A Book about Bodies, Feelings, and YOU by Corey Silverberg

You-ology: A Puberty Guide for Every Body by Trish Hutchison MD Faap, Kathryn Lowe MD Faap, and Melisa Holmes MD Facog

The Every Body Book of Consent: An Lgbtqia-Inclusive Guide to Respecting Boundaries, Bodies, and Beyond by Rachel E Simon illustrated by Noah Grigni

Celebrate Your Body (and Its Changes, Too!): The Ultimate Puberty Book for Girls (Celebrate You, 1), for Girls Ages 8-12 by Sonya Renee Taylor
**I only recommend this one for those with a uterus and who strongly identify as a girl**
